Seduced by the beauty of wind energy. Together with my two sons, we have started Aesthenergy making the Netherlands more beautiful and more sustainable. We are highly motivated to support property and real estate owners in the energy transition by developing and selling beautiful, sustainable energy solutions.
In this initiative, a diverse team of students have created a design of a tiny wind turbine for your property that looks nice and simultanuously generates wind energy. This eye catcher contributes to your aim going energy neutral and off the grid. Combining solar and wind energy provides generating green energy in most wheather conditions, day and night. Together with your help and feedback, we aim at developing ‘snowdrop’ and other nature-like solutions that attracts people. Simultanuously, we aim at creating more and more efficient wind energy solutions and build our knowledge base at universities providing you value for money.
In this campaign, with your contribution, we plan to build a first prototype of the snowdrop wind turbine. This eye catcher might end up on your property! With learnings from the first prototype and feedback from potential customers we further develop beautiful, tiny wind turbines for manufacturing purposes to produce larger quantities of affortable, efficient eye catchers with a high yield.
For building the first prototype, we need funding of about $10,000. On top of this, we need funding for testing the first prototype resulting in a CE certificate. 
When you have contributed the highest fund, then we make this eye catcher available for you to place and install it on the perfect spot for you. Your contribution to this crowd funding will be substrated from the total price of this snowdrop wind turbine which we expect to cost $6,000-$9,000 excluding transportation and installation costs.
In the Netherlands, more and more attention in the energy transition is paid to solar energy. Unfortunately, more and more citizans express negative perceptions towards wind energy due to the fact that wind turbines need to become larger and larger for increasing yields. This negative perception is slowing down the energy transition. The development of nice-looking, tiny wind turbines is an initiative to turn around these perceptions: wind turbines can be beautiful and efficiencies can be optimised resulting in higher and higher yields (just like PV panels in the last decade). Your support for this important development is highly needed and will help to increase the pace of the energy transition. With your funding and one or more nice-looking, tiny wind turbines on your property, you will demonstrate the importance as well as the enthousiasm for wind energy (which is a valuable energy source for centuries already).
Safety is a key property of wind turbines. When buying building blocks and creating new constructions the safety of the components as well as the total eye catcher should be non-negotiable safe. We plan to spend as much as effort as needed to make sure we bring safe wind turbines on the market. Negative properties for very large wind turbines, such as cumbersome shade and noise, are also double checked for these tiny wind turbines, with the expectations that we eliminate properties, such as shade issues, or transform these in positive ones such as silent wind turbines.
