Building on the legacy of GravityLight, Deciwatt is proud to present nowlight.
nowlight’s journey began with the ambitious GravityLight goal: providing clean, safe and affordable light for the 1.1 billion people without access to electricity. Having spent many years working towards that goal, a lot has been learned and instead of just focusing on light, nowlight is designed to tackle the general issue of electricity access.
Combining efficient biomechanics with leading battery and solar technology nowlight offers instant power, independent of the weather. The battery can either be manually charged using the pull cord (1 minute of manual charge generates 1 hour of light) or on sunny days, a solar panel can be used. There is an integrated USB that can power your devices & additional ’SatLights’ can be plugged in to help spread the light.
nowlight is a solution not only developed for off-grid families in sub-Saharan Africa, as it is just as at home brightening up your BBQ or preparing for power cuts.
