The ocean is a vast reservoir refilling constantly covering approximately 71% of the Earth's surface. By using existing tidal technology and incorporating pumped hydro to further increase the efficiency of this sustainable, unlimited seapower, we will create a reliable and affordable clean energy source which will work towards limiting further damage to our fragile planet and have the dual effect of acting as a coastal barrier protection system.

Sustainable Coastal Development
Sustainability is the heart of our invention and we care about protecting and revitalising coastal communities, generating and storing renewable energy and providing healthy food for the world’s growing population.
CPE Global was formed by Peter Tse to promote his pioneering coastal protection system – the Ecological Artificial Barrier Reef – which harnesses the power of the ocean to generate and store renewable energy while enabling sustainable land and water-based development.
Ecological Artificial Barrier Reef
The Ecological Artificial Barrier Reef acts as a defence protecting the coast from waves, storms, floods, and erosion. It generates and stores energy using multiple Seawater Exchange and Storage Systems (SESS) joined together to reach the desired area mass for each unique location where it will be placed. 
The Ecological Artificial Barrier Reef provides a calm, controlled, lagoon environment which can be used for watersports and leisure.
It creates an environment for marine biodiversity in the same way as a natural barrier reef.
 
The Seawater Exchange and Storage System
The Seawater Exchange and Storage System (SESS) harnesses the untapped potential of the ocean using pump hydro storage and hydroelectricity to generate and store energy until needed.
It is a circular structure with turbines to move seawater around three reservoirs to create a continuous energy-generating loop.
Most places have two tides a day which gives additional energy generating potential.
The system can meet variable demand as energy can be released from one or more reservoirs depending on what is needed.

We launched the project as the clocks brought in New Year in Kiritimati (31 December 2017 10 am GMT).  Kiritimati Island was originally used as a stopping point for Pacific Ocean travellers since AD 400 and was discovered by European mapmakers in 1537. Rising sea levels and coastal erosion is having a devastating effect on Kiritimati,
 
Its population of 5115 people and the rest of the islands that make up the Republic of Kiribati have plans now in place to relocate islanders across neighbouring nations in the Pacific including Fiji if a solution cannot be found in time.
As planet Earth wakes up to 2018, a new horizon will pass across many nations and lands directly affected by rising sea levels, global temperature rises and changes to our weather patterns affecting food growing and animal habitats.

5. Work with Human Survival Foundation to share knowledge and raise awareness.
